NOTE: OSUWireless Hot Spots are in a limited number of campus locations for Phase I. Only those areas on the location map' with a "*" (star) by the building name are active OSUWireless Hot Spots.

OSUWireless Hot Spots are available in a limited number campus locations for Phase I. Use of OSUWireless Hot Spots is free to Ohio State faculty, staff, students and college/department sponsored guests. You will need your pre-assigned OSU Wireless username and password (see below) AND a mobile device with a properly installed, internal or external wireless network adaptor / card that is WPA Enterprise compatible. Most wireless adaptors / cards that are "wi fi compliant" should work. View Tested and Recommended Devices List. Follow these three easy steps for set up (one time) and connecting:
Step 1: Activate Your OSUWireless Username and Password
NOTE: You should activate your OSUWireless username and password from a wired connection (ie. departmental LAN, RESNET, dial up / broadband or OIT Public Computing Site connection). When you click the "Step 1:
Activate..." link above, you will be redirected to a secure web site.
Click the "Activate Account" tab and follow the instructions on the page. Once you have completed the process successfully, a link back to this section will be provided so that you can proceed with Steps 2 & 3 below.
Step 3: Find An OSUWireless Hot Spot & Log On!
NOTE:
Only those areas on the location map'
with a "*" (star) by the building name are active OSUWireless Hot Spots.
NOTE: If you are connecting in the OSU residence halls, you will need to open a browser and log in using your OSU Internet Username (lastname.#) before you will be able to use any Internet services (i.e., email, web browsing, instant messaging, etc.).
